Assistant Professor Courtney Starrett received a Global Learning Initiative Award to collaborate with RJM in planning an installment at Winthrop University. We spent several days working with her students in the Jewelry and Metals program, sorting, designing, and demonstrating techniques such as ingot pouring and milling metal. Special attention was spent discussing RJM Design Strategies that place environmental and human health above all other conceptual or aesthetic choices. It was an action-packed, inspiring time and students went on to complete their designs during the course of the semester.
